2018 - A New Year

This marks the first year that I’ve celebrated a New Year’s in a different state outside of California. It’s been over six months sense the move to Denver and things are starting to settle.

Finances

The move did cost me a bit more than I had expect it too and I knew it would take some time to get the money back into budget and it’s slowly starting to get there. There are quite a few of you reading this that where super supportive of the move and I owe you all so much. I’m going to look into buying a condo this year as well. Not sure if I’ll actually buy one, but at least start looking and seeing what my options are.

I would like to get some furniture for the apartment as well. Right now I don’t even had a couch.

Conventions and Travel

This year marked the first year I have ever traveled to Chicago for MidWest FurFest and it was certainly worth it. It was great to re-connect with some old friends and meet some new ones. I’ll certainly be returning to MFF again this year. Other convention plans include Further Confusion and Biggest Little Furry Con.

Metal and Physical Health

So this year I actually started seeing a therapist this year after many years of thinking I could actually take care of things myself. It wasn’t anything bad, but I had been having some issues and I thought it was time to talk to someone about it and it has been a wonderful. If anything, just to have someone to talk to about personal issues has been great. I’m on a low dose of prozac and vitamin D and it’s been helping mellow things out.

I also changed my diet and started exercise on the advice of my doctor because my sugar levels where a bit high. I have already lost a good 40 pounds and I actually feel better overall. Bought a small elliptical machine as well. It gets a bit cold during the winter here to be doing a walk at nights.

Creative

So, about a  year ago I started learning programming and that was a pretty fun experience. Things didn’t work out the way I was expecting, but that happens. I’ve actually been learning some Unity 3d now and I’ve decided to go back into just being creative and not stressing myself about coding and such.

One of things I am trying to do is learn sculpting and modeling in Blender better. I know Blender pretty well and would like to dive deeper into the program. I would like to get back into fursuit building as I like to try making 3d printed fursuit heads as well as other things.

The road ahead.

loranskunky:

As many of you know I had been planning on moving out of California for quite a while now and with the help of some great friends something wonderful happened.

I got a job in Denver.

I do not have to start work officially until July 10th so I have time to plan things out and figure out everything, but I have already started looking at moving cost and local apartments.

I am both scared and happy at the same time but I will not be too far away and I plan on still going to cons and visiting friends. It will be a closer for me as Denver is somewhat in the middle.

So my partner in crime, Abe E Seedy, finally finished up his third adult story anthology, and here it is, at long last:

 http://www.lulu.com/shop/abe-e-seedy/the-party/ebook/product-21864956.html

I did the cover, layout, and 3 full color full page illustrations for the interior. Here’s the blurb, for your perusal:

Sometimes, you just want to have a good time. And at a party thrown by a prospective new cheerleader just starting out at college, that “good time” turns out to involve a selection of people drinking improbably spiked punch and turning into a variety of sexy animal-people (and also having sex).

Yet another collection of 5 short stories, all revolving around sex, transformation, and sexy transformation. Featuring enthusiastic goo girlification, shy guy-to-girl (and lady-to-man), first-person slow burn lesbian animal slutification, big burly cow dude-ification, and a squad of cheerleaders giving new meaning to the phrase “give me a D”.

If you like TF porn as much as I do, I can’t recommend it enough. Animal sex monster is probably my fave story in the book, but they are all super hot, funny, and sometimes even heartwarming!?

If you want to read more of our collab projects, or download some sweet free porn, you can always visit: chain reaction

Moving on again.

So plan B is back in full swing now that I have quit the second job. I had to because it was just getting too stressful and they did not seem to want to hire me despite that fact that they always seemed to be so busy.

Anyway, the big kicker for me is learning Javascript, everything else about Front End Development isn’t that bad really. Well, at least not yet.

Working two jobs soon.

So the place that I interviewed with called me on Friday and offered me part time work on the night shift. So I’ll be working two jobs now for who knows how long. I could use the extra cash for sure and maybe they’ll take me on full time.

We’ll see.

Learning new things.

So it’s been a good three months or so sense I’ve started learning Front End Development and I’ve learned a lot.

There is a lot that has changed sense the last time I did web design stuff. That was the late 90s when it was all invisible gif files and tables hacking Dreamweaver .html files.

So far I’ve been going and learning CSS and it’s an amazing little thing that I wish I had back in 1999. There is a lot to learn, but it at least is making sense and working out nicely.

PHP, javascript and jquery are going to be the fun bits I know.
